Background:
Kingsley Primary School is a large primary school with mixed catchment area. It occupies a green spacious site on Brooke Estate, which is part-council and part-private housing. It has a new Key Stage 1 and nursery complex. The school has many attractive areas, which have been designed and built by the staff and children to enhance the building, including a pond area and inner quadrangle garden. Its strengths include discipline, quality of teaching, pastoral care of pupils and strong links with parents and the local community. The school has received Activemark, Beacon status (2000), Basic Skills Quality Mark (1998), DfES achievement award (2003). The school has a positive ethos, with a strong family atmosphere.
